I stood in line at the post office. Around me, men. I was hungry and had a banana in my bag. I waited.
I walked down a street crowded with bars. At one table, four men sat with beers at the end of their workday. One of them opened a bottle, and the cap fell right at my feet. I bent down slowly to pick it up.
I rode my bike to teach a Pilates class. On the way, I was caught in an unexpected rain. When I arrived at my student’s home, I asked to borrow his wife’s clothes.

This work is an attempt to stay true to the everyday act—the slipping in and out of jeans—within the theater. With a subtle manipulation that heightens attention to detail. With the unfolding of a charged reservoir of images that rise and scatter.
And with the looming threat of the shifting and hovering gaze.
All the more! We seek the gaze, from within and without, for it holds the ability to cut free from the decree of the initial image, granting us the possibility to try on and perform different cuts.

Choreography: Gal Levinson
